Man Wins 1.71 Million Pesos in Quini 6 Lottery

A man won a massive sum after correctly guessing all six numbers in one of the Quini 6 lottery draws. However, he only found out about it just three days before the deadline to claim the prize at the agency where he had placed his bet. According to Cecilia, the shop owner, the winner is a neighbor who lives near El Bolsón. He came to the agency after hearing her speaking to local media and warning, "Please, check your tickets because losing this prize is terrible." He had no idea. The agency owner said the man "was not doing well financially, had had some problems with his car, and his wife helped him pay his credit card because he was short on cash, so this prize comes at a perfect time." According to Cecilia, the lucky winner filled out the paperwork, signed it, and has already received his prize, from which 31% was deducted in taxes. "He was left with a clean 171 million pesos," the woman detailed, adding that she spoke with the man, who told her, "I can't believe it." As the ticket hadn't brought any results, he had changed it some time ago, investing the same numbers in the Loto and Quini lotteries, the woman told the Clarín newspaper. She also noted that one of her employees was present when the man came to the agency. The winning numbers on the ticket were: 43, 42, 36, 39, 11, and 29, and Cecilia said she had sent a photo of it to her employee and knew the exact day and time the ticket was played, so when the employee saw the man, she recognized him. "He told me he had played the same ticket for 20 years," she recounted. "He is somewhat dazed, a little scared, many things are going through his head, but he is happy," Cecilia said. "The man took out the ticket, and my employee asked him: 'Sir, do you know you have a prize?' 'No,' he replied."
